Women sue hair salon for tricking them. By: News 14 Carolina Staff. Six women are suing a hair salon in Cary. They said they were tricked into working for the salon with promises of training but were let go five months later when the salon stopped its apprenticeship program. State officials closed the program at the Hair Cuttery Salon because the state hadn't approved it. The lawsuit states an unspecified amount of damages, breach of contract, fraud, negligence, and unfair trade practices. A spokesman for the salon's parent company said it still offered to pay for the women's cosmetology licenses.
